God is a God who hears and Answers Prayer

He shall call upon me, and I will answer him. Psalm 91:15

In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will dream dreams. Acts 2:17

For many years I have been meeting with a group of four people to pray together. We have prayed in unity that God would pour out His Spirit on all flesh, according to Acts 2:17. We have, of course, prayed for other events and concerns and all that has been prayed for is precious and necessary before our Lord and Saviour. I tell you this, only to draw your attention to our God who hears and answers prayer. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him. Psalm 91:15.

This past April, at a Prayer Summit held just outside of Los Angeles, California, I saw with my own eyes God pouring out His Spirit on all flesh. Certainly not just because of my prayers alone or the prayers from our prayer groups here in Thunder Bay, but because of the prayers of many over the years, across the continent. People talked of visions, dreams, prophecy, speaking in tongues, gifts of healing, travailing in the Spirit, and the list goes on. Praying by hearing and listening for the voice of God was a common theme throughout the summit as we prayed for each other, when opportunity arose. This is where true healing abounds and the captives are set free! Whom the Son sets free is free indeed!

God is pouring out His Spirit on all flesh, and He desires to not leave anyone behind, no one person, no one people group, no one church, and no one denomination! God is answering the prayers of those who are crying out for Him to move upon His people, so that we can then go and reach a dying and lost people. You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit falls upon you! Acts 1:8. God’s power is the kind that helps us love the unlovable, the worst sinner. He gives us His power to break down strongholds. God’s power brings healing and restoration to a broken and hurt people.

Prayer is enforcing what God wants to do on the planet! Leon Fontaine.
